As the weather gets nicer, more people will be out on their motorcycles, but before you hit the road you may want to check your helmet.
According to the majority of helmet manufacturers, the lifetime is 3 to 5 years. There are a few factors that could compromise the safety of a helmet like if it has been dropped.
"3 to 5 years are what they say, when you start to lose benefits from a helmet," said Curtis Moen, general manager of Copper Canyon Harley Davidson.
"So, we just like to keep it as safe as possible and new helmets are definitely safer than helmets that have been sitting for a few years," he said.
For the month of April, Copper Canyon Harley Davidson will check your helmet to see if it still meets safety standards and if you need a new one you will receive 20% off.
