Election judges sought in Butte

Posted

BUTTE – With important elections coming in June, Butte is in need of election judges.

Butte’s Clerk and Recorder’s Office had about 30 election judges recently retire and it is working hard to get people trained to help out during the upcoming election day on June 5.

Training classes were completed this month but if more judges are needed there will be a second round in May.

“It’s a variety of people doing a variety of different things, so you have the judges out on the Civic Center floor helping people vote, we have the crew in the back annex helping with the absentee, we have people out in front guiding people to their correct precinct,” said Clerk and Recorder Sally Hollis.

Election judges must be at least 18 years old and registered voters.
