HELENA – Helena police say a man who allegedly made numerous threats against the community has been arrested in Las Vegas.
According to police, on May 29 and 30 Jared Michael Schoebel, 29, threatened people and law enforcement officers in Helena on social media.
The Helena Police Department, working with the Montana Analysis and Technical Information Center, the FBI, and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department spent several days trying to determine Schoebel’s location.
He was taken into custody by Las Vegas police on Wednesday afternoon on outstanding warrants in Nevada.
Police say he is also listed as a Montana probation absconder, and has a conviction for assault on a minor in Lewis & Clark County in 2014.
Schoebel has not been charged in relation to the threats, but could be in the future.
