City by City Forecast:

BOZEMAN: LOW: 50°; HIGH TUESDAY: 76°. Isolated rumbles could develop Monday afternoon into the early evening hours as a cold front passes through the region. Gusty winds are likely and slightly cooler temperatures tonight and Tuesday.

BUTTE: LOW: 45°; HIGH TUESDAY: 74°. Showers and thunderstorms look to be very brief for Butte this evening into Tuesday. Otherwise look for partly cloudy to cloudy skies with brisk winds at times.

DILLON: LOW: 44°; HIGH TUESDAY: 75°. Partly cloudy tonight and Tuesday with a few isolated rumbles of thunder mostly over nearby mountain ranges. SW winds will be picking up as a cold front passes through this afternoon and evening and there could be gusts up to or over 30 mph.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 40°; HIGH TUESDAY: 70°. Partly cloudy this afternoon and evening and watch for increasing surface winds out of the SW 10 to 20 mph. Tuesday will be partly cloudy as well and slightly cooler.

The atmosphere is slightly unstable today as a cold front passes through the state. Ahead of this front temperatures have jumped up into the 70s and 80s. There is enough moisture aloft that when surface heating and a cold front could trigger a few thunderstorms heading into Monday early evening. The area of greatest concern is from Helena to Glasgow but a few storms could develop along and North of I-90. Strong outflow winds will be the biggest issue as storms develop.
