REED POINT – The Stillwater County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man who they believe fell into the Yellowstone River over the weekend.
Deputies believe Brandon Fitch, 20, of Columbus, fell off the Yellowstone River bridge north of Reed Point early Saturday morning.
Search and rescue teams from around the area responded, but have not been able to locate Fitch. Crews had to suspend their search on Monday, due to dangerous weather and water conditions.
The sheriff’s office said they do not suspect foul play, and their investigation is ongoing. They ask anyone who comes upon something in the area that could be related to the incident to call their dispatch center at (406) 322-5326.
