Thousands of people gathered at Britain’s ancient monument Stonehenge on Thursday to celebrate summer solstice.
Pagans, druids, and revelers cheered as the sun rose at the World Heritage Site of the famed standing stones in the southwest English county of Wiltshire to mark the longest day of the year.
English Heritage, who manage the Stonehenge site, said on their social media that it was ‘a perfect morning for the Summer Solstice sunrise at Stonehenge.’
