More Rain And Flooding Concerns Through The Weekend

FLOOD BRIEFING:

The National Weather Service continues a FLOOD WARNING for the Jefferson River between Whitehall to Three Forks.

River levels are holding just above minor flood stage Thursday and with additional rainfall likely minor low land flooding will continue into Friday and could linger into the weekend.


The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD WARNING for most of Broadwater County through noon Friday.

Emergency Management is reporting flooding and washed out roads and water flowing over roadways. This is coming mostly from poor drainage areas and smaller streams. The Missouri River has reached minor flood stage in some parts of Broadwater County.


The National Weather Service continues a FLOOD WARNING for the Clark Fork River between Garrison to Drummond through 6 am Friday.

Downstream of Deer Lodge the Clark Fork river has reached minor flood stage and lowland flooding is likely or is occurring. 


The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD ADVISORY for the Big Hole River through 11 pm Thursday.

The Big Hole River is running just below minor flood stage Thursday afternoon. Minor lowland flooding is possible.

 


The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD WATCH for SW Montana east of the divide through Friday afternoon.

Slow moving thunderstorms could produce torrential rainfall Thursday afternoon across SW Montana. 

Heavy rain on top of saturated soils will likely produce additional flooding issues and possible flash flooding.
