Man killed in motorcycle crash south of Ennis

One person is dead after a fatal crash Sunday night south of Ennis.

The call came into Montana Highway Patrol around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, near mile marker 21 on U.S. Highway 287.

MHP tells MTN News that a motorcyclist crashed while trying to avoid impacting another car.

The bike tipped over and the cyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, died of his injuries.

MHP says speed may be a factor in the crash but the incident is still under investigation. It is not known if drugs or alcohol were involved.

The identity of the man has not been released at this time.
