A very active weather pattern has moved back into Montana and stronger thunderstorms are the biggest concern statewide Thursday afternoon and evening.

Severe thunderstorms are likely from Bozeman eastward through the Dakota’s. Areas west of the divide could see several thunderstorms and a few could be very strong at times.

Most storms will likely produce locally heavy rainfall, small to large hail and strong outflow winds along with frequent and deadly lightning.

The above on demand STORMTracker video forecast will walk you through the forecast hour by hour so you can see the timing, intensity and location of possible storms across SW Montana with Chief Meteorologist Mike Heard.
