Reynolds Lake Fire continues to hold steady

Posted

DARBY – Crews continue to make progress containing the Reynolds Lake fire.

The lightning-sparked blaze did not grow on Saturday, remains at 1,068 acres, and is 15% contained as of Sunday morning.

Crews continued making good progress constructing hand line around the fire and yesterday completed the last section of line on the western perimeter. Firefighters have dug hand line around approximately 70% of the fire.

Helicopters assisted with bucket work Saturday to help control fire spread and limit growth, and fire retardant was not used.

There are now 240 people assigned to battle the lightning-sparked fire which is near the Reynolds Lake trailhead.

There are no structures threatened at this time and the fire is burning in a very remote location.
