WISE RIVER – A new wildfire to report 4 miles south of Wise River in the Pioneer Mountains. This is a 40 acre fire as of 5 pm Wednesday evening and is 0% contained.
15 personnel, 1 engine and 1 helicopter are working the fire along with one 5 person hand crew. Additional resources ordered and are en route consist of 4 engines and 2 helicopters and an air attack platform.
The cause of this fire is unknown.
The fire is burning in grass, sagebrush, and timber. Structures are threatened. Firefighters are working to establish a containment line to keep the fire from advancing.
