MISSOULA — The Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD) is reporting 50 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases since the Tuesday update.
The number of active COVID-19 cases has risen from the 293 reported on Tuesday to 303.
A total of 7,327 COVID-19 cases has been confirmed in Missoula County including 6,964 recoveries and 60 COVID-19 related deaths.
There are currently 19 COVID-19 hospitalizations being reported including 12 county residents.
The average of daily new cases per 100,000 has dropped from 40 on Tuesday to 38.
The MCCHD goal is to bring that number down to 25/100,000 people for two consecutive weeks or more.
MCCHD has announced that the Board of Health will consider changing part of the existing COVID-19 restrictions during a Jan. 21 meeting.
Missoula County Public Schools released details for moving into the second phase of its reopening plan on Jan. 18.
Missoula County health officials announced on Jan. 14 that plans are in place to move to Phase 1B of COVID-19 vaccinations.
