BUTTE — Crews are battling a fire in Uptown Butte at the corner of Main St. and East Galena.
The fire was reported at 2:45 a.m. Thursday.
When crews arrived, heavy smoke and fire could be seen above the Irish Times. Two other bars, the Post and Muddy Creek Brewery were also impacted by the fire as it spread through the walls and ceiling.
Crews were able to enter the building, but then had to pull back as the fire became too heavy. They are attempting to contain the fire from spreading at this time. Witnesses describe heavy damage to the historic building.
No injuries are reported at this time.
