Man allegedly flees Great Falls police, hits house while DUI

Parker William McConnell is facing several charges after he allegedly crashed a car in Great Falls while driving drunk.

It happened late Friday along 5th Street NW and 17th Avenue NW, near CMR High School. As he was leading officers on a car chase, McConnell's car crashed into a sign pole and hit a house. We do not yet know the dollar amount of damage to the house.



A Great Falls police officer fell down while chasing McConnell; the officer sustained minor injuries.

McConnell was booked into the Cascade County Detention Center on Saturday on the following charges:

  • Negligent Vehicular Assault (Serious Bodily Injury) (felony)
  • Fail To Give Notice Of Accident By Quickest Means/Apparent Damage Over $1,000 (misdemeanor)
  • Fail To Notify Owner After Accident Resulting In Damage To Prop/Fixtures Along Hwy (misdemeanor)
  • Obstructing A Peace Officer Or Other Public Servant (misdemeanor)
  • Operating W/ Alcohol Concentration Of 0.08% BAC Or Greater (misdemeanor)

Bond for McConnell has been set at $50,000.
