BUTTE – An inmate with the Butte pre-release program is accused of selling drugs while still in custody.
Butte police say 32-year-old Charles Petty was arrested Sunday after program officials found methamphetamine and prescription pills in his residence on Sampson Street in Butte.
Petty was allowed to stay in a transition home while still in custody with the pre-release center.
Police also seized thousands of dollars in suspected drug money found in the home.
He remains in jail on two felony counts of possession with intent to sell dangerous drugs.
