BUTTE – Incoming 7th and 8th graders got a closer look at East Middle School in Butte Wednesday morning.

The orientation was held to get the students familiar with their lockers, location of classes and all the programs the school will offer. The orientation also benefits the new 7th graders who will be attending this much larger school that has more than 600 students.

“Making sure students feel like they’re comfortable and they’re supported here at East. The team concept is outstanding, we’re always pairing up students with other students and teachers so that they have a good, positive mentor,” said Vice Principal Ron Ricketts.

The first official day of class at East Middle School is Sept. 4.
