Roads in southwest Montana are slick and snow-packed. Pass cameras are showing limited visibility with snow and ice covering the roads across the region.
Keep in mind that snow and ice are of significant concern throughout the day today, and temperatures are not expected to move out of the low to middle single digits for most of southwest Montana through the afternoon. That means that if you do have travel problems, the temperature will be dangerous and winds will compound the problems if you have to be outside for any significant time.
Snow amounts could range between 2”-5” for many of the valleys with 5”-10” possible at pass level through Tuesday afternoon. Use caution when driving and please turn on your lights to improve visibility. According to MDT, Raynolds and Targhee passes are closed due to potential blizzard conditions.
