BUTTE – A documentary film about a group of Zulus visiting Butte in the summer of 2017 will premier in the Mining City on Saturday.

The film “Zulu Summer” tells the story of three men from South Africa who came to Butte as guests of the KBMF radio station. The film features many people from Butte and the many experiences the men had while visiting.

“I think what it came down to is Butte is really the star of the movie. When we had our premiere in Santa Barbara people couldn’t believe that a place like Butte existed. That is what people walked away with is, ‘Where is this place?,’” said the film’s producer Dark Sevier.

The film starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Mother Lode Theater in Butte. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
