BUTTE – A local non-profit will be hosting Butte’s first festival celebrating local food and sustainability Saturday.
The event called Sosten Fest will be held at the National Center for Appropriate Technology off of Continental Drive and will feature demonstrations on how to grow local vegetables, solar energy, and games for children.
There will also be a pasty contest in the afternoon.
“So the purpose of Sosten Fest is to celebrate local food, local organizations and businesses throughout all of Montana, so we’re going to have music and vendors and food trucks all from Montana,” said organizer Melissa Englund.
The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
