UPDATE: Bozeman Police capture man considered armed and dangerous

UPDATE: 9/2/2022, 8:00 AM - Bozeman police successfully took Christopher Bias into custody without incident at the Greycliff rest stop east of Big Timber shortly after 11:00 PM on September 1.

Bozeman police thank everyone who provided information leading to the arrest.

According to the Sweet Grass County Sheriff, Bias is being held at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.

UPDATE: 9/1/2022, 3:40 PM - Bozeman police say, Christopher Bias, 44, was last seen in the Bozeman area and they are unsure if he left the area. They do have warrants for his arrest and urge the public not to approach the man. They added it was a fairly new incident that led to his search.


BOZEMAN — The Bozeman Police Department is searching for a wanted person, considered "armed and dangerous."

In a social media post, BPD stated that Christopher Bias is a 44-year-old white man with brown hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 5’09” and 180 lbs. Bias is believed to be riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle that does not have a windshield and has a replacement seat held on with a yellow strap.

Bias is considered armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach, call 911 immediately and advise dispatch of the suspect's description and location. Bias poses an immediate danger to particular individuals in the Gallatin Valley and has warrants for his arrest.
