BUTTE - The Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter in Butte will deliver free dog and cat food to pet owners who are unable to leave home due to the coronavirus.

People can call in what they need in the morning, and animal control will drop off the pet food at the residence after 2 p.m.

“Butte's been so great to us and always taken such good care of our animals here and been so gracious, and they are the ones that have actually given us the food that enables us to give back,” said Lynette Hogart, the animal services director.

Anyone needing pet food should call the shelter in the morning at 497-6528.
