BUTTE - A Butte businessman has become the fourth candidate to run for Butte chief executive.

Tom Cronnelly is the co-owner of OMG Mongolian Grill in Butte and will run against incumbent Dave Palmer, candidates Brendan McDonough and J.P. Gallagher.

Cronnelly said his experience in business will make him the best choice for the job.

“I really think that Butte could be doing better in a lot of ways. I think we could have a better economy, I think we could have better retail choices, I think we could have more activities for our kids and I just think there's a lot of tools I have from my experiences that I can bring to the table that could help make Butte better,” said Cronnelly.

The primary election is June 2, and the top two vote-getters will move on to the general election in November.
