BUTTE — The Butte Central High School football game tonight against Stevensville has been canceled due to concerns over COVID-19.
Butte Central Coach Don Peoples said Stevensville High School notified him Thursday via email that the team didn't want to travel to Butte Friday to play the game since some Butte Central students are in quarantine. The game was scheduled for 7 p.m. at Alumni Stadium on the campus of Montana Tech.
The game will officially go down as a no-contest since it was canceled due to safety concerns over the coronavirus. The game will not be rescheduled.
