BUTTE - Butte’s winter festival is going on this weekend despite a lack of snow.
Many people attended the opening ceremony of Snoflinga at the High Altitude Speed Skating Center on Friday evening with free skating at the outdoor oval. People warmed themselves from the cool temperatures by a bonfire and even roasted marshmallows.
The festival will continue today and Sunday with free winter activities throughout Butte. A calendar of events can be found at the Snoflinga website.
