MSCO assists Powell County in locating downed plane in Seeley Lake

(UPDATE: 9/13/20, 1:30 P.M.) The plane was located at 12:52 a.m. on September 13. The pilot and one passenger died in the crash.

They have been identified as Charles E. Wolff of Green Valley, Arizona, who was 67 years old; Wayne D. Cahoon of Seeley Lake, age 59.

The second passenger survived the crash and was taken to a hospital in Washington.

(1st REPORT) In a Facebook post late Saturday evening, the Missoula County Sheriff's Office posted that MSCO Deputies and Seeley-Swan Search and Rescue are assisting Powell County officials in locating a plane reported down by Florida Air Refuge Center.

Search efforts are concentrated north of the Seeley Lake Airport.
