Turning Point USA will continue its college tour following the recent shooting of founder Charlie Kirk, who was murdered on a Utah university campus. The "This is the Turning Point Tour" comes to Montana State University's Bozeman campus on October 7, featuring biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte.
The free event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. Ramaswamy, currently running for Ohio governor, will headline the stop alongside Gianforte.
Turning Point, the non-profit organization founded in 2012 by Kirk, promotes its college tour as a celebration of free speech and often features passionate disputes between those of different political beliefs.

MSU Police Chief Michael Becker outlined enhanced security measures for the event during a September 24 interview with Montana Public Radio. The conservative youth organization has rented the venue with a layout accommodating 3,300 people, Becker advised.

Attendees will not be permitted to bring bags into the Fieldhouse and will be required to pass through metal detectors as part of the security protocol, according to Becker.
Standard campus parking regulations will remain in effect for the event. University officials stated that parking will be available in campus surface lots after 6 p.m. without a permit. The lots located south of the Fieldhouse are expected to serve as the primary parking areas for event attendees.
