HELENA, Mont. – Emergency crews responded to a fire at an apartment building in Helena early Sunday.

There were no serious injuries reported, but two pets died in the fire.

he fire was reported at about 1:48 a.m. at 1516 E. Lyndale Avenue. The fire was fully extinguished at around 7 a.m.

The estimated dollar loss is approximately $375,000.

The residents have been receiving some assistance, and have been put up in motels and other places around the city.

There are still some smoldering areas, and HFD will likely be on scene through Sunday morning.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
