Man killed in Dawson County crash Monday morning

CIRCLE – A single-vehicle crash is under investigation in Dawson County after a pickup drifted off the road and crashed into a power pole Monday morning, killing one person.

The crash was reported at 7:01 a.m. on Montana Highway 200S at mile marker 294.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Joel Gramm said the driver, a man in his early 50’s from the Circle area, drifted off the road for unknown reasons.

The Ford pickup truck struck a power pole, flipped multiple times, and went down a ravine.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was the only person in the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
