BILLINGS – A new summer concert is coming to downtown Billings.

On Saturday, June 29, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will headline the new Downtown Summer Sounds concert.

The concert, presented by the Downtown Billings Alliance, 11:11 Presents, Rocky Mountain Bank and other sponsors, will rock out on North 29th Street between First and Second avenues north.

“We looked at 29th street and this spot, particularly because this is kind of the topic of One Big Sky District. And this is one of the project areas that we are going to have potentially a walking mall and some really cool indoor outdoor markets, “Lindsay Richardson, the events director of  Downtown Billings Alliance said. “We just really wanted to bring the community to a space that hopefully in the future will be a really active space  downtown.”

Tickets go on sale Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. on www.downtownbillings.com. A limited number of reduced priced tickets will be available once tickets go on sale.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is a blend of Country Rock and American Roots music.

The band played in Billings in 2018 to a sold-out out audience at the Alberta Bair Theatre.
