MISSOULA — Following up on their community Thanksgiving Day Dinner event, the Missoula’s Goodfellows Organization is at it again – this time with their Christmas Food Box giveaway.

Goodfellows will distribute boxes to over 200 families on Saturday which will include enough food for a Christmas dinner, plus leftovers thanks to a partnership with Missoula Fresh Market.

In years past, Goodfellows has put together about 120 food boxes for local families in need, but the organization says they recognized a need for more due to financial hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organization has added another component to their giveaway this year thanks to Imagination Station Toys and Whippersnappers Children’s Clothing Shop.

“We’ve added gifts for the children. You know each of these families has anywhere from one to a few children, so we’ve got 450 gifts that we are also going to children in the community,” said the Goodfellows John Giuliani.

Goodfellows will send out their team of volunteers to deliver the food boxes and toys on Saturday morning.
