Tester blasts shutdown; Daines proposes bill cutting lawmaker pay until gov’t reopens

WASHINGTON, D.C.-  U.S. Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., scorched lawmakers on the Senate floor Thursday, demanding a resolution to what may end up the long government shutdown in U.S. history.

Meanwhile, Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., announced he’s proposing a bill that would not allow lawmakers to received paycheck while the government is shut down.
