Robyn Oldham’s fifth wheel trailer caught fire early Saturday morning in an Ennis neighborhood off Madison Ave.

The flames spread from the trailer to Oldham’s home.

“I shouted for everybody to 'get out, get out!' And so my son and his wife, they got their two dogs out."

Oldham’s home received significant damage from the fire, and the trailer and other vehicles on the property were a total loss..

The flames also spread to next-door-neighbor Dan Scholler’s home.

“I woke up and I could smell smoke. So I flew out of bed and jumped out and screamed, 'Jenny, Jenny! Fire, fire!'” said Scholler.

The Madison Valley Rural Fire Department said when they arrived, the fifth wheel trailer was totally engulfed in 30-40 foot tall flames and they were able to put out the fire in about 2.5 hours.

Oldham said there’s normally somebody that resides in the trailer on her property, but they were staying the night in her place that evening because of cold temperatures.

The Madison Valley Rural Fire Department’s fire chief, Shawn Christensen, says the cause of the fire is still unknown, but there were no injuries as a result of the fire.

As for now, the affected families face significant damages to their homes and livelihoods.
