Snowbowl has opened its Lavelle chair following an incident earlier this month forced the lift to close.
A chair had come off of the lift line on Jan. 2 causing the lift line to fray and skiers were evacuated from the chair by ski patrol.
Snowbowl was forced to bring in people from all over to repair the lift while also bringing in new parts.
The closing of the chairlift created an extended period where Big Sky mountains summit was only available by a short hike from Grizzly Chair.
Snow Park, the new side of Snowbowl, was not open on Tuesday but was scheduled to be open Wednesday through Sunday.
