Cold Front Thursday For SW Montana

A pacific cold front will pass through Montana Thursday afternoon. Ahead of this front temperatures will jump up into the 70s and 80s across the state. There will likely be some increasing wildfire smoke statewide ahead of this front. There is only a very low risk for a few pop up thunderstorms across SW Montana Thursday afternoon. Look for increasing surface winds with this front and behind the front a few degrees cooler by Friday.

BOZEMAN: LOW: 48°; HIGH THURSDAY: 77°. Clear skies and good air quality continues for Bozeman through Thursday morning. Up next will be a cold front Thursday afternoon. Look for increasing clouds but not much rain and increasing surface winds 10-20 mph.

BUTTE: LOW: 43°; HIGH THURSDAY: 74°. Clear and cool tonight for Butte. Thursday will start off sunny and cool but increasing clouds will move in by afternoon as a mostly dry cold front arrives. This front will produce increasing surface winds 10-20 mph.

DILLON: LOW: 43°; HIGH THURSDAY: 77°. Temperatures continue to climb for Dillon over the next 24 hours. Mostly dry pattern will hold true despite a cold front Thursday afternoon. Surface winds will be increasing 10-20 mph.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 32°; HIGH THURSDAY: 70°. A dry and cool pattern again tonight for West Yellowstone will morning lows down around freezing. A cold front will hit your area Thursday afternoon and there is slight chance for a few pop up thunderstorms. Surface winds will likely increase 10-20 mph.
