BUTTE, Mont. – Quiet for now across SW Montana heading into Thursday evening. By Friday morning a stronger pacific cold front will begin to increase surface winds locally by sunrise Friday and stiff winds likely to continue into Friday evening and possibly into Saturday.
Increasing valley rain and mountain snow is likely mostly Friday night into Saturday morning.

Peak wind gusts could hit 40 mph or stronger. Watch for increasing valley rain and mountain snow Friday night.
