BUTTE – Colder than normal temperatures continues to impact most of Montana but SW Montana night after night lows have been below zero for most valleys. That trend is expected to slowly break by next week.

Next weather maker is a Pacific cold front that will pass through Montana Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. Increasing clouds and surface winds ahead of the front, snow, and wind with the front Tuesday evening, and finally colder temperatures behind the front Thursday.

Temperatures should gradually increase by this weekend and into next week. Highs could warm up into the lower 40s. This is still slightly colder than normal but much warmer compared to the first two weeks of March.
