Christmas Eve Forecast: Scattered snow showers likely

Today's Forecast:
Scattered snow showers are expected across southwest Montana for your Christmas Eve. The heaviest snow is expected in southern Gallatin, Madison, and Beaverhead counties above 6000 feet. As a result, there is a Winter Weather Advisory in place for that area through 10 PM this evening. Scattered snow showers are also expected in the valleys of southwest Montana through early Christmas morning which could leave between 1”-2” of total accumulation for those areas. Highs will be in the middle and upper 30s or low 40s for Tuesday with lows dropping to the middle 20s overnight.

BOZEMAN: High: 40; Low: 25. Scattered snow showers will be in place through the day. Light snow is possible tonight and taper by the morning. We will likely see between 1”-2” by early Wednesday.

BUTTE: High: 36; Low: 16. Pockets of snow will be likely through the day today and taper toward the evening. Accumulation expected to be in the 1”-2” range.

DILLON: High: 37; Low: 19. Off and on snow showers are likely through the day today.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 33; Low: 16. Pockets of heavy snow will be moving through the region through the day today with scattered snow showers lingering into the evening.

We are moving into a cooler, but stable pattern after Wednesday through early next week. Highs will stay in the upper 20s and low 30s under mostly sunny skies. The weekend could bring slightly warmer temperatures as highs climb back to the upper 30s by Sunday and Monday.
