Update 1:40 p.m. Tuesday

The fire is 0% containment and the estimated acreage is somewhere between 3,000 and 5,000 acres at what is being called the Rosebud Fire, according to a press release from the Stillwater County DES.

The initial evacuation order is still in affect from the intersection of Fiddler Creek Rd and West Rosebud Rd. to South Fiddler Creek Rd including Ingersoll to Roscoe.

Approximately 35 evacuation notices were sent out, as well as deputies going door-to-door Monday night, the press release states.

The fire is burning in mostly timber with rough terrain. Agencies on scene include Absarokee, Columbus, Red Lodge, Nye, Laurel and Shepard Fire Departments, BLM, DNRC and Forest Service.

It rained Tuesday morning which really helped out, fire officials said, but as the day progresses we are seeing increased fire activity due to the wind.
