BOZEMAN – High-pressure is building back over Montana this weekend and will produce hot to very hot temperatures and mostly dry conditions.
Saturday will be a transition day with temperatures warming into the mid to upper 80s but beginning Sunday most of the region will begin to see temperatures hit the lower 90s.
Monday should be the peak of the heatwave and there is a chance that some of you could see record highs in the mid-90s.
Forecast models are beginning to show some monsoonal moisture rolling up the backside of the ridge by early next week through the pacific NW. Some of that moisture could produce a few isolated thunderstorms over western Montana early next week.
