Not as cold tonight for SW Montana

BOZEMAN – Frosty start to the day across SW Montana but morning lows didn’t shatter any records but valley frost did occur.

The good news tonight is mostly cloud skies. That will help keep temperatures well above freezing for most (not all) valleys, exceptions will be higher mountain valleys like West Yellowstone, Wisdom, and Elk Park.

Flow aloft will turn to the west for a few days and this will help temperatures climb daily and by the end of the week we could be back up into the 80s.

Over the weekend a cold front will bring scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms into SW Montana and knock temperatures back down below normal by Sunday.
