BOZEMAN – A complex pattern this week for Montana. First, the storm system that produce cold, wet, and windy conditions on Saturday is spinning through North Dakota Sunday and will continue to flow away from Montana through Monday.

A NW flow aloft is keeping temperatures running cooler than normal Sunday but slightly warmer compared to Saturday. Monday will also be a little warmer and mostly dry.

A building High-pressure ridge will slowly gain strength this week and should lock us into a warming trend all week with near record highs by Friday and Saturday. Temperatures could jump up into the 80s to lower 90s by Friday.

Climate Prediction Center 6 to 10 outlook through June 3rd is above to well above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation.

The exception to this overall pattern change will be a weak disturbance Tuesday into Wednesday. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible across the state beginning Monday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
