BOZEMAN - A Pacific storm system with a cold front followed by a slower moving upper level Low will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to Montana tonight into Friday morning.

SW Montana could pick up an additional tenth of an inch to a half inch of rain through Friday morning. Slower moving thunderstorms Thursday evening have the potential to produce moderate to heavy rainfall.

Most of the wet weather will diminish overnight across western Montana but will likely continue Friday for far eastern counties.

Behind this storm system temperatures are expected to stay near to slightly below normal heading into the weekend although warming up a little on Saturday.

The bigger issue weather wise this weekend will be increasing surface winds Saturday afternoon and again Sunday afternoon.
