Slick roads and cold temperatures for Tuesday

Today's Forecast:
Expect slick roads and extremely cold temperatures. Skies are expected to be partly to mostly sunny by the afternoon with a light north wind between 5-10 mph. With snow on the ground, clear skies, and calm winds, and an arctic air already in place, you can expect among the coldest temperatures of the season to be in place for Wednesday morning.

BOZEMAN: High: 12; Low: -2. Slick roads and cold temperatures will dominate the start of your day. Highs will struggle despite partly to mostly sunny skies for the afternoon. A light north wind is expected for the afternoon.

BUTTE: High: 10; Low: -15. Despite bright sunshine, our temperatures will struggle for the afternoon. Winds will remain light, but wind chill is expected to be between -20° to -5° this afternoon.

DILLON: High: 11; Low: -2. Our strongest wind will be during the first portion of the day. Look for sunshine and cold temperatures with a bitter overnight low below zero.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 12; Low: -15. Arctic air remains in place for the afternoon. Lows are expected to plummet well below zero by Wednesday morning.

TEMPERATURS SLOWLY WARM THIS WEEK:
With arctic air in place it will take some time for our daytime temperatures to climb. A high-pressure system will slowly push slightly warmer Pacific air back into southwest Montana by Thursday and Friday. Although Halloween will be chilly, you should expect temperatures to warm back near the 30° to the mid-30s by Thursday afternoon.
